Scotch & Soda fizzes up for sell off

Scotch & Soda is a men’s and womenswear clothing brand with UK retail outlets in London’s Carnaby Street and at Westfield London. The brand also sells accessories and has its own fragrance, Barfly.

The brand is currently owned by Sun European Partners and the sale is understood to be advised by consultants Teneo.

Sun took a stake in the the fashion label in 2011, when it jointly acquired the business with Kellwood, one of Sun’s portfolio companies. Prior to that the brand was independently owned.

At the time, Atlas Advisors acted as lead financial advisor to Scotch & Soda in partnership with Marvin Traub Associates, which acted as strategic advisor with additional financial advice from Boer & Croon, and Allen & Overy, who served as legal advisors.

In December, Scotch & Soda entered a new footwear licensing partnership with distributor Bos Group.

Bos Group will execute the wholesale deliveries for Scotch & Soda’s spring/summer 2023 collections and will carry on the development and sell-in for autumn/winter 2023.
