Staten Island’s Best Dressed: Nicolette Romano’s ‘A Night in Greece’ Sweet 16 at Grand Oaks
Featured in this week’s Staten Island’s Best Dressed gallery are photos from Nicolette Romano’s Sweet 16 celebration.
Grand Oaks Country Club was the setting for the elegant March 18 soiree, themed “A Night in Greece,” which stemmed from Nicolette’s love for the movie soundtrack of “Mamma Mia,” a film (and Broadway musical) set in Greece.
“The room was truly transformed,” said guest Diana Fuggetta. “The guests really felt like they were in Mykonos.”
The daughter of Dianne and Joe Lopardo and Jude and Danielle Romano, the beautiful birthday girl hails from Tottenville and is a sophomore at Notre Dame Academy, Grymes Hill, where she is a varsity cheerleader.
“My Sweet 16 was the best night of my life because I was surrounded by my favorite people and we danced all night,” said Nicolete about her special evening. “I wish I could do it again.”
Entertainment for the evening was provided by a talented roster, including: Emcee Mike Antonelli of Feel the Beat and DJ Andreas of Mylos Entertainment (who happens to be the main DJ of Elias Restaurant in East Rutherford, N.J., a Greek restaurant). Decor for Nicolette’s special night was by Mela of Red Carpet Weddings and Events.
