You can’t talk about the 2024 Grammys without mentioning Mariah Carey. That sparkling gold gown was luminescent on the iconic singer and fit her like a glove. My only disappointment is that she didn’t walk the red carpet; that gown—and the woman in it—deserved every flashbulb on it. —J.R.

The boys were in fine form in their matching white Thom Browne suits. The defining element of the coordinating ensembles was the pink carnations on each of their lapels—a reference to the lyrics for “We’re in Love,” which Lucy Dacus wrote as a love letter to bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.

“In the next one, will you find me? / I’ll be the boy with the pink carnation / Pinned to my lapel, who looks like hell and asks for help / And if you do, I’ll know it’s you.”
